About the course of study
We belong to the elite group of Universities in Poland offering a new quality of education in the Monoprofile Medical Simulation Centre. It is a modern didactic base intended for nursing students, thanks to which they carry out exercises and practical classes with the help of advanced high-fidelity simulators, latest generation phantoms and modern trainers. Training in this formula is based on a broad simulation of medical events, which, thanks to the use of real-life scenarios, allows practical skills to be acquired while avoiding unnecessary risks to the patient. Classes at the Simulation Centre have already been implemented since November 2018. We have 7 teaching rooms at our disposal: 2 low-fidelity rooms educate in basic nursing skills, 2 rooms are used for practising in rescue activities and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Another, our gem, is a high-fidelity room equipped with high-fidelity simulators and equipment simulating ICU conditions in a hospital or clinic.
Students can also use the debriefing room, where they follow their own actions on a giant monitor screen as they carry out lesson scenarios recorded in the form of a video, thanks to the extensive audiovisual system the centre is equipped with. The culmination of their efforts is the students’ submission of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination in a dedicated room, which concurrently concludes the classes at the simulation centre. The Nursing program provides both theoretical and practical preparation of highly qualified nursing staff for work in healthcare. Students acquire the necessary education for clinical work and independent execution of tasks within nursing functions in various health care facilities. We educate in a modern way, in line with the contemporary needs of the labor market.
