The Józef Goluchowski University of Applied Sciences conducts scientific and research activities, primarily in the fields of medical sciences, economics, security sciences, political science and international relations, pedagogy. Academic conferences, seminars and guest lectures, including large international expert conferences, are organised every year. So far five international academic conferences took place: ‘The Ukrainian Crisis and Its Significance for International Security’ (2015), ‘Territorial Defence and Its Role in Contemporary Security Systems’ (2016), ‘Asymmetric Conflicts and Hybrid Wars in the 21st Century’ (2018), ‘The International Scientific Conference From Intermarium to Three Seas Initiative. Integration and Collective Security Conceptions in Central and Eastern Europe in the 20th and 21st Centuries’ (2019), ‘The New “Great Depression”. Faces, Course and Ramifications of the COVID-19 Pandemic’ (2022).
The university publishes five scientific journals: “Acta Scientifica Academiae Ostrovensis”, “Ante Portas-Security Studies”, Central Euopean Nursing-Review”, “Rocznik Ostrowiecki” and “Polish Journal of Helth and Fitness” (student journal). The Publishing House of the Józef Goluchowski University of Applied Sciences publishes more than a dozen books annually in the publishing series: Politics and Security, Economics and Law, Health, Pedagogy, Biographies, Regional Studies.

"Central European Nursing Review" - Ed. Monika Borek, PhD
A peer-reviewed scientific journal issued in the form of an annual publication since 2022 by the Department of Nursing of the Józef Gołuchowski Academy of Applied Sciences. The Editor-in-Chief is Dr. Monika Borek - Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences ANSG. 'Central European Nursing Review' contains articles and materials related to medicine and health sciences, with particular emphasis on the nursing profession. The journal is openly accessible, the electronic version of each volume is made available for free on the journal's website.

An interdisciplinary periodical, published since 1998. Previous name was 'Acta Scientifica Academiae Ostroviensis'. The journal is peer-reviewed. Since 2012, it has been available in an electronic version. Based on the list of scientific journals of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education dated December 23, 2015 (part B), the journal received 7 points.
"Ante Portas. Studia nad Bezpieczeństwem" - Ed. Jakub Żak, PhD
An annual publication, edited by the staff of the Department of National Security, has been published since 2012. 'Ante Portas' features articles, reviews, and other materials related to national and international security issues. The journal is indexed in databases including Index Copernicus, ICV (2018) – 86.7.

A peer-reviewed scientific journal, publishing works in the field of broadly understood human health and its conditions. In particular, articles from the area of health care, medical care and nursing, public health, health training (human physical activity and its impact on health), human nutrition, and mental health are accepted. PJHF is an electronic journal and publishes one issue a year, however, works accepted for print are immediately published on the journal's website.
